In a perfect world we would know all that is to come before it happens… we could plan out every detail with the comfort of knowing the execution would be flawless. But let’s be real… when it comes to weddings, there is no such thing as perfection. We as vendors can strive to get as close as possible to that idea. It starts with communication and a sense of love for the people who choose to trust our hands with their vision.
I offer you this page as a chance to get to know me as a wedding photographer before clicking that contact button. I hope I can help with some of the overwhelming thoughts that comes along with planning your wedding and making trusted bookings.

Inquiry & Booking procedure
You like what you see and want to move forward with booking a wedding package!
Hooray!! You have found a website that speaks to you and makes you feel like a true Bride and Groom to-be. Im stoked to chat about the little details around booking and securing your date in the AJI calendar.
1) Explore website & socials
Take a thorough look at this website and explore all options. AJI social medias have a unique touch to them and may offer some insight to editing style and history. If you are finding there is just not enough here to convince you of my work I would be more than happy to email you links allowing access to view full wedding galleries.
2) Reach out & inquire
Click on any of the contact buttons you see here or email AJ directly at contact@arieljadeimagery.com Additionally you may reach out via any of the social media platforms to talk about a potential booking. All you need is a date, idea in mind and the bravery to connect with a complete stranger. I believe in you!
3) Book a Meeting with AJ
We will set a time for a video chat or in-person meet up to ensure we are a good team for your big day. This ensures you know there is a person behind the business and who you would be hiring. Here we will discuss the hours of coverage, number of photographers needed along with travel, additional sessions and all your hopes and wedding dreams.
4) Contract & Retainer
Once your date and details are decided, your package and extras chosen, we will create a custom invoice and standard wedding contract. You will have 48 hours from contract and invoice delivery to solidify your date with a %50 retainer and signed contract returned. Without these elements your date will not be guaranteed.
Before the Wedding Day
The countdown begins and now you must wait… what can you do now?
You are in that weird waiting period and must work to bring all your ideas to life! I am here to keep your mind at ease while the days countdown.
5) Relax! & Shotlist
Take a breath! Cause you have taken a huge task and now crossed it off your list. For now. Think of the images that matter to you, the family you wish to have prints with forever. While your brain is filling with more things to sort out, get some of those thoughts out on paper. Start organizing your family portrait list, formal and must have photographs. While my approach behind the camera is to be as candid as possible, I intend to honour your dreams as well. Keep your eyes peeled for your welcome package containing all the helpful documents and guides curated by Ariel Jade herself.
6) Additional sessions
With each wedding package there is a complimentary engagement session included. If you are eloping, there is an option to add on an engagement outing as well. Couples who choose the Elysian Package will also receive a Bridal Fine-Art boudoir package to capture before the wedding day. If you added rehearsal or multi-day coverage; we will be organizing these dates as well.
7) Photography timeline
Keeping in mind that photography coverage doesn’t mean that there is a planner at your wedding; we will do our best tho to keep you as photo organized as possible. If you wish to use the photography timeline as your day-of guide I would be happy to assist in that planning. From getting ready, travel, first looks, ceremony, reception, sunset dances and speeches… we will fit each important moment in an organized, tangible timeline to keep us on track. If this doesn’t seem like your vibe, I am also very good with winging it.
8) Invoice & Finalizing
You have now made it to the week of your wedding!! Ahhhhh! Very exciting, but daunting yes. In the handful of days leading up to your wedding you will be getting reminders and calls from your photographer. We will finalize your invoice and any outstanding details. This is where we can ensure meet up locations, times, people, wardrobe and extra details are not missed.
On your wedding day
The wait is over! You wake up on your wedding day… now what?
The time has come… you are to be married today! It’s a whole day with your favourite people to celebrate what you two share. Now you only required to show up and trust your collection of vendors to do their part. Here is what you can expect from your photographer…
9) Good morning text
I will be sending you a bright eyed & bushy tailed good morning message. Just cuz I want you to know I am thinking of only you going into this day. I will bring along Two cameras, with several lens options. One camera will allow for me to get those dreamy up-close details, while the other will give you a chance at privacy while I observe from afar.
10) Arrival & prep
Your photographer will arrive to the pre-discussed location at their scheduled time (likely a tad earlier). From here we will do our own thing. Set-up where we are able, connect with other members of the vendor team & members of the wedding party. We will keep a copy of the timeline and shot list on hand to ensure we are on track and allow you the freedom to forget about the clock. And then we begin!
11) You get married
You do the thing! Marry each other. I capture the magic that is the two of you and keep myself either a few steps ahead of you or a few steps behind. Your photographer will keep a close and far eye on you throughout the celebration. If you hired a second shooter as well, you will find them in unique places to get those masterpiece shots.
12) The day ends…
Sadly your magical day cannot go on forever. I can try my best to replicate that feeling in your images so you may relive this day over and over again. I will remind you that your photography coverage is coming to an end and offer any extended services if you wish to capture more than you initially planned. If the night feels complete, I will then give you a warm hug and bid you a heartfelt farewell. For now.

The day is over; now when can we see our photos!?
Okay, okay I get it. You are EXCITED! Me too, trust me.
13) Previews
Depending one the package you chose you will receive a preview gallery of high-resolution edited images with 24-48 hours. Once home your images will be uploaded to the computer and backed up to two additional places. The memory cards holding your images will be put aside until your album is delivered.
14) Feedback
Based off of your previews, do you find any adjustments are needed? Now is the time to bring up any concerns before the entire album is made top priority in the editing queue. Your photographer will then sort the images based of usability and quality, keeping only the best ones. You will end up with 500-1000 images depending on your package.
15) Album delivery
Yayyyy! it’s album delivery day!! You get all your dreamy photos back within 12 weeks and have both online and printing quality options.. If you booked the Elysian Package you will also receive a custom gift as a final thank you.
16) you come back!
Lastly, you fall in love with your album and want to see me as your photographer for the rest of your lives together? I would be honoured!! If you found we didn’t click… no worries; I still wish you the best and promise to love your album forever.

A visit to Lake Minnewanka in negative degree weather, 75km/hr winds and your most beloved.
Finishing the day in the town of Banff to cozy up with loved ones and laugh about the day.

A romantic Vow Renewal at the top of Elbow Falls in Kananaskis Country Alberta. After several years of love and life, this wonderful couple were able to included their young son in their renewal.
Khriza & Shane
These two wedding photographers are now taking their moment at the altar and with their experience, bring a unique touch to their photographs. First with an engagement session in the sunny fields of Bragg Creek, Alberta.
Before the Wedding, the stunning bride indulged in a Bridal Fine Art Album; a gift to herself and her new husband. She handed her groom printed polaroids of this session on their wedding day.
Later that summer Khriza & Shane celebrated their wedding in the Redwood Meadows of Alberta.
